Submit an Open Records Request

Under the Georgia Open Records Act (OCGA §50-18-70 to §50-18-77), all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law. If a government agency or custodian of public records withholds a public document from production under an Open Records Request, they will cite the provision of Georgia law that exempts the record from being produced.

In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71 (b), The Simple Vue Academy has designated an Open Records Officer – Suzette Freeman - to whom members of the public must submit Open Records Requests. All open records requests to inspect or copy records must be made in writing to contact@thesimplevueacademy.org.

Once you submit your request, you will receive a response to your request, as permissible and applicable by law, within three business days following the officer's receipt of your request during normal hours. If the records exist but are not immediately available for production, the Open Records Officer’s response will include a description of the records and a time and cost estimate for their release.  Please note that The Simple Vue Academy charges reasonable fees for the production of records in accordance with the Georgia Open Records Act.
